Kirk J. Nielson, DDS, MS
Dr. Kirk Nielson has been practicing orthodontics in the Denver area for more than 18 years. His interest in orthodontics began while he was in kindergarten, after seeing the improvement braces made on his sister’s teeth. Dr. Nielson loves creating beautiful smiles!
Dr. Nielson holds the following degrees:
- B.S. in Economics, 1985, Brigham Young University
- Doctorate in Dental Surgery, 1989, Creighton University
- Masters and Orthodontic Certification, 1991, University of Oklahoma
Dr. Nielson also specializes in TMJ (Temporomandibular joint) disorders. He has published articles on orthodontia in various medical journals, including the American Journal of Orthodontics. He also lectures at local schools and youth organizations about dentistry and oral health.

He is active in the community and his church, and he donates time and financial support to multiple charitable organizations.
As an outdoor enthusiast, Dr. Nielson engages in the active Colorado lifestyle. He enjoys spending time with his family, and is frequently seen cheering on his children and their teams at local sporting events.
